LOK West End Street Event 2008

I had originally intended to ask you to name the monarchs, but as I visited the pillar boxes, I found that nearly all the boxes to the West of Birkbeck were Elizabeth II and nearly all the boxes to the East were Edward VII. It is surprising that there is so little variation.

I heard several appreciative comments about the fact that it was nice not to have to search for the control. I think that orienteering (whether in forest or on the streets) should be mainly about route choice and navigation and not searching around when you are within a few yards.

The next SLOW street event is on Tuesday 9^th December in Putney.

LOK’s next street event is on Thursday 22^nd January in Hampstead.

LOK has weekly training from the Royal Free Hospital Recreation Club in Fleet Road NW3 every Thursday at 6.45 pm.
