Organiser's Comments

Thanks to Jon Chandlers planning, it was good to see 73 keen orienteers making in to North London again for a course with a bit of a climb! The top six on Long were within 2 minutes of each other, so a strong competition. Apologies for a slightly hidden control 14 … this was to avoid tempting the locals who were loitering when the control was hung.

So, that was the fourth LOK event in the Park Race Series 2010 …. hope you enjoyed visiting some new parks north of the river.
We are now able to announce who were the winners of this part of the Series (with the overall having to wait until the 5th SLOW event has happened in early August) – all four events counted. Five points separate the top three in the women’s league, and just two points at the top of the men’s ….. to me that means the competition was close! The winners of the LOK Park Race Series 2010 are ….. Jayne Sales (SLOW) and Evan Barlow (SLOW)…. obviously the training they get from all the park racing events put on by SLOW has paid off! Some small prize will be coming your way!
